Loose waves; white, restrained dresses; and sparkling metallics dominated the evening at the Premios Juventud 2010 award show.Shakira, Amelia Vega and Belinda were the most vibrant, while others arrived on the 'blue carpet' with much more subdued dresses and styles.

Gold, Copper and Silver... Belinda flaunted a sexy gladiator style ensemble while Shakira opted for more structure choosing a Roberto Cavalli number. The exotic Ivy Queen went for a more classical look for this occasion, a dress by Mariano Lumbi.

Our top prize goes to the beautiful Amelia Vega who had fun adding splashes of color to her silver metallic dress. Sequins and other embellishments livened up this design; the ex-beauty queen took it a step further and accessorized with a purple clutch by Yves Saint Laurent and some fabulous hot pink heels. The icing on the cake was the very fashionable braided up-do and hot pink lipstick.

So many similarities! Two one-shoulder dresses; two dresses with bell sleeves; all of them short hems. Greidys Gil added snippets of color to her ensemble with red heels and lipstick. Ana Patricia Gonzalez set herself apart wearing her crown as the reigning Nuestra Belleza Latina. Selena Gomez chose to go bare leaving out any accessories and not even a tint of color for makeup. Karla Martinez also opted for nude, very natural makeup and carried a green clutch.

Hair-styles were not the most eye-catching on this red carpet, and we dare to say that most of these hair styles would have been better appropriate for staying home to watch the awards on TV while sitting on the sofa. Marta Sanchez looked as if she didn't even run a comb through her hair. Shakira wore a looser version of her signature curls. Alejandra Espinoza also didn't have much definition to her curls and Karla Martinez' center part left her hair-style looking too messy.
