Premio Lo Nuestro is celebrated every year to award the best Latino singers and musicians as voted by the fans. The event, presented by Univision, brings together singers, actors, models and celebs from the Latino community to celebrate the best of last year's Latino Music. Ex-American Idol, Allison Iraheta isn't known for her great taste when it comes to fashion, but we'd hoped that for a glamorous award show, she would at least try.
The red-dyed-hair, dressed in a purple, ruffled dress makes one think "piñata" and not chic singer. Though we loved her embellished platform shoes.

Singer Nelly Furtado also went to the show, changing outfits along the way. This look was far too simple and casual, more appropriate for a night out at a South Beach café. Her one-shoulder pink dress was lightly pleated, which she combined with cool tricolor sandals.

We prefer this look. Here Nelly Furtado wore a black jumpsuit which slimmed her figure, was sexy and fun! Dramatic, but not over the top, black and gold accessories complemented her style and completed a wonderful look.

Thalía, Mexican singer and Tommy Mottola's wife, showed off her slender figure with this sober but sexy black dress, with embroidery just below the low neckline and jewelry in all the right places. The diagonal sash added an original touch to a refined silhouette.

Paulina Rubio's dress was dramatic and undoubtedly eye-catching. The 'Chica Dorada' (golden girl), dressed to impress with shiny, golden cleavage and bejeweled embroidery highlighting the obvious. The delicate chiffon skirt, falling in various layers and pleats, all combined together to create a beautiful dress and a glamorous look that was very well received.

Chayanne, Puerto Rican singer and star of 'Dance with me' with Vanessa Williams, went for the funky-tux look, matching a black and navy suit with white shirt and white bowtie. We thought he resembled a circus presenter.

TV presenter Bárbara Bermudo chose emerald this time. While most men will fancy focusing on her front, the gown's highlight was on the backside, which gave way to lace and ruffles. Not a favorite of ours.

Giselle Blondet looked beautiful in red. The sexy 'V' neckline with ruffled shoulders were genius! The rest of the dress was simple and slender, achieving a perfect and elegant balance.

Another one who chose red was Ana Bárbara, singer, who selected a tight-fighting dress which hugged her waist and hips, and then flowed onwards with a beautiful river of fabric. The top had a diagonal design with pleats that evoked a flower, setting off the jeweled choker and her deep, glorious tan and smile. Spectacular!

Actress Geraldine Bazán wore an "interesting", yes suspect, design in dark, metallic gray. She's not exactly curvacious, and even though the dress brought attention to her body with a deep cleavage, the design just did not work nor did it flatter her beauty.
