En octubre de 2009, Lindsay Lohan presentó su primera colección primavera-verano 2010 para la casa Emanuel Ungaro (trabajó en conjunto con la modista española Estrella Archs, quien suplió a Esteban Cortázar, y parece se llevaban muy mal), la cual fue mal recibida entre críticas y aplausos (de amigos).Lo que intentaba la marca era fusionar la fama escandalosa de la actriz y la moda, parecía buena idea para despertar a Ungaro, pero resultó todo lo contrario.
En noviembre pasado ya se veía venir la tormenta y la marca rescindió el contrato que tenía con la actriz de asesora creativa.
El creador de la marca, Emanuel Ungaro, hizo breves declaraciones sobre la situación: "Estoy furioso con tanta confusión, pero no puedo hacer nada al respecto", ya que desde 2005 no colabora con la empresa. "La marca está perdiendo su alma, y lo lamento", concluyó
Cinco meses después, la firma enfrenta una de sus peores crisis y hasta ha tenido que verse en la necesidad de cerrar algunas de sus boutiques. Y no sólo eso, el sitio de ventas de lujo por internet Net-a-Porter y la tienda departamental Neiman Marcus dejaron de vender sus colecciones a partir de la fatídica llegada de Lindsay.
